Youth Spotlight: Faith

Faith is this week’s Youth Spotlight, and a new American citizen!  She was recommended for this honor by her counselor, Liliana, from our Bucks County Supportive Housing Program (SHP).  Faith is 19 years and an immigrant from Liberia.  In the photo, you can see her proudly holding her newly earned U.S. citizenship, which Valley Youth House helped her to obtain.  Liliana supported Faith through the entire process, including rides to important immigration appointments.

Faith first came to Valley Youth House through our Synergy Project, when VYH staff member, Woody, found out she was homeless.  From there, he helped her get placed into our Bucks Shelter and then in our SHP Program.  Faith has done very well in all of these VYH programs and is described as a star client who budgets well, attends college, and is making lots of progress towards stability and independence.  Way to go, Faith!
