VYH Observes Juneteenth 2020
In solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, Valley Youth House has declared June 19, 2020 to be a day off with pay for Valley Youth House employees in celebration and recognition of Juneteenth.
“We recognize that the racial trauma that our country is experiencing now is not new, but throughout recent weeks there has been a heightened awareness that we have to end this. Juneteenth is an opportunity to commemorate and celebrate Black history and culture.” said Tom Harrington, President & CEO, Valley Youth House.
All VYH employees have been encouraged to use the day to take steps to educate themselves or reach out to others in support of racial justice.
