Valley Youth House’s Project Silk Staff Members Highlighted in Good Morning America’s Inspiration List: Who’s Making LGBTQ+ History Now!
Valley Youth House is excited to announce that two of our Project Silk staff members, Chloe Cole-Wilson and Kenny Screven, were highlighted in Good Morning America’s GMA Inspiration List: Who’s Making LGBTQ+ History Right Now!
Kenny nominated Chloe for her passion, dedication, and advocacy in her everyday work to empower and support the LGBTQ+ youth in our community.
Both Chloe and Kenny work as a part of Valley Youth House’s Project Silk program, an LGBTQ+ inclusive drop-in program in partnership with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center that is youth-led, adult-supported and offers free health services like HIV/STI testing, healthy food and snacks, active recreation, peer support, discussions on a variety of health and social topics, and more.
Kenny also runs Haus of Shadez, a sub-program of VYH that works alongside Project Silk and serves as a LGBTQ+ support group for young adults in the community.
Valley Youth House is beyond proud of both Chloe and Kenny for being the inspiring game-changers that they are, and always bringing their passion and dedication to the youth that we serve.
Please join us in celebrating and congratulating Chloe & Kenny!
