Two VYH youth join Board of Directors
Two amazing young people from VYH programs have been nominated and approved to join the Valley Youth house Board of Directors as youth advocates.
The first youth is Destiny Jarnagin who is 20 years old and from Northampton County. She attended Millersville University for her first year and is going to Northampton Community College this year. Destiny is majoring in Criminology and Sociology and would like to be a family/divorce attorney. She likes public speaking and has been working with VYH’s Lehigh Valley Adolescence Achieving Independence program (AAI) for almost 5 years. She is also a Peer Mentor for VYH and loves vacationing at the ocean.
The second youth elected to the Board of Directors is Brianna Rowles. She is from Luzerne county and has been with VYH’s Luzerne County Supervised Independent Living (SIL) program since she was 16 years old. She is currently 19 years old has graduated high school. Brianna has worked at Dunkin Donuts for almost 4 years and is currently in the role of Assistant Manager. She lives in her own apartment and is considering going to college for business or pursuing a law degree.
