Sleep Out for Homelessness raises $3,200

Valley Youth House participated in Saint John’s United Church of Christ Sleep Out for Homelessness event. Saint John’s hosted seven other churches who were involved in the event, as well as two other churches in the Penn Northeast Conference who held their own Sleep Out that weekend. There were 48 youth and 21 adults who participated in sleeping outside to better understand what it’s like to not have a home and to raise awareness for the issue of homelessness. Overall the event managed to raise over $3,200 and a part of the proceeds were donated to the Valley Youth House’s street outreach program, The Synergy Project. Thank you to Saint John’s for your generous donation!
