Career Assist Network (CAN) Mentor Program

The CAN Mentor Program provides vocational mentoring services to young people.

Mentoring relationships with caring adults will help the young men and women improve well-being, complete educational goals, find/retain employment, and achieve self-sufficiency. A young person’s access to knowledge and enhanced skills that improve their employability in the current job market, together with connections with caring and supportive adults, is critical to their future success and independence. The CAN Mentor Program is designed to extend a youth’s experience outside of the life skills training offered by VYH and link them with local area professionals who work to support the youth’s employment and educational goals.

The CAN Mentor Program will support youth in creating a strong employment foundation through a focus on making decisions about career goals, raising high school retention and graduation rates, and ensuring employment success.

Mentors are needed on a regular basis; please complete the form below if you are interested in becoming a mentor!
