WorkReady Provided by Valley Youth House

WHAT IS WORKREADY SUMMER?

WorkReady Summer is a work experience program for 12-24-year-olds in Philadelphia that will run between July and August. WorkReady Summer offers 100+ different experiences through 80+ partner organizations throughout the city. This summer, the program will offer safe in-person experiences for young people to gain valuable experience and develop critical skills. Each year, at least twice as many young people apply for the roughly 8,000 opportunities available, so applicants are encouraged to apply early and check their email often.

WorkReady Provided by Valley Youth House will be serving youth ages 14-18. To be eligible to engage in WorkReady Provided by Valley Youth House, youth must have had at least one (1) day of out of home placement (DHS Philadelphia Dependent care) at/or after age 14. Youth that qualify will participate in the Intermediate Work Experience, where they will be able to gain hands-on work experience in various settings, as well as professional development from employment staff.
