Philly PIT Count 2022
The annual Philly Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is a count of all persons experiencing homelessness on the streets, in a shelter, and other temporary or unstable housing in order to estimate the size of the population in need of housing and supportive services.
This year, Philly PIT Count will take place on February 23, 2022 and February 24, 2022. There are a few different ways that you can volunteer to help in the Philly PIT Count:
- Observational Count – February 23, 2022 | 10:00 PM-5:00 AM | City & Outreach Staff Only
- A visual headcount of unsheltered persons, with no interaction
- Volunteers will:
- Be virtually trained
- Be assigned to a zone
- Need to use a car to drive to their assigned zone to complete count
- Masks will be provided

- Come & Be Counted Physical Sites | February 24, 2022 | Varied Shifts
- A count of unsheltered persons
- Volunteers will:
- Be virtually trained
- Complete a brief survey with participants
- PPE will be provided (masks, face shields, gloves, hand sanitizer)
