New Philly app will help youth find and access resources
The University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice, Hack4Impact, and Juvenile Law Center have joined together to create a resource app for youth in Philly experiencing homelessness or struggling to find the support services they need. The app, Youth Matters: Philly, will help youth find and access resources like shelters, housing, foodbanks, healthcare providers, and more, and was inspired by a similar app for youth aging out of the foster care system in Los Angeles County, California. Valley Youth House programs are included among the resources listed in the app, and the app launch celebration, including a press conference, will be held at Philly’s Achieving Independence Center.
