Kappa Delta raises $7,500 to prevent child abuse

The Kappa Delta sorority chapter at Lehigh University has hosted several events to raise money for the Valley Youth House’s  Project Child program. They started off with a donut sale, then a carnival held at their chapter house, at which they sold shirts to begin fundraising. These events all led up to their main event, the KD dance competition. The competition was between various fraternities and sororities in the Greek community at Lehigh, with many other members of the Lehigh community coming to watch. The event was a great success, raising $7,500 for VYH’s Project Child. KD plan on making this event annual, and hope to expand next year to a larger portion of the Lehigh community including sports teams and other groups on campus. The funds that KD have raised will help VYH to continue to run the Project Child program, which brings child abuse prevention information to parents and professionals in the Lehigh Valley.
