Girls on the Run at Jefferson Elementary School in Emmaus collected summer items for the children of the Valley Youth House Independent Living Programs. GOTR is a program for girls in 3rd-5th grade meant to develop individual strengths and celebrate connections. Every season the girls develop more of an understanding of who they are and the importance of making a positive impact on the world. Within the program the girls develop skills and the importance of staying fit and healthy. In addition, they also take on an impact project to help their community. For their project this semester, the girls decided to collect donations for Valley Youth House, and successfully collected 225 summer items for the VYH Independent Living Programs.
