“This week has been something of magic for me. The magic not only with the spirit of friends, but of the spirit of what felt like family. This week has reminded me of the good that the world has to offer while making me forget the hate, pain, and strife. We have all worked body, mind, and spirit. Which in turn has made us all better people and stronger as a group and family. This was one of the best weeks of my life. For this everyone has my deepest gratitude”
“My time at camp was awesome! I felt like a different person; more confident and vocal… I feel like I connected with a lot of people and created positive memories! I feel closer to everyone as a whole and it makes me feel so warm inside. Also, the energy throughout the days was insane! Everybody was cheering everybody on and overall, it was a fantastic experience. Although I may not see fellow campers as often, I appreciate their existence. Staff was great, by the way, super kind and understanding and helpful.
“This camp is honestly the best thing that happened to me all summer. I met and reconnected with friends and have had so much support. On the nights when I was feeling down and depressed, there have been counselors there for me, giving me support and sharing their own stories. They have given me reasons to get through each day and night. If I could, I would stay here all summer. “
“I loved going to camp. It gave me a nice break from my daily life just to reset and relax… I did a lot of things I didn’t think I would be able to do without the support of my friends and staff at camp.”
“My favorite experiences were conquering the team wall, conquering the net climb, and becoming an overall positive, inspiring leader. I’ve learned that I have it in me to be confident wherever I go and communication is very important.”
“At camp I have learned to make friendships, got in touch with old friends, and have even learned to be a bit less socially anxious. I felt supported when I cried, and had people to laugh with when I was happy. Everyone had their ups and downs but all in all, we all gave each other love and support.”
