Birthday party scavenger hunt to benefit VYH

Most birthdays we know are celebrated with a party or special meal – but not this one. VYH supporter, Jason Cotter, has designed and hosted scavenger hunts all around Philadelphia for his last few birthdays, and added a charitable component this year. As part of the scavenger hunt, his friends divided into teams and competed to raise the most money for Valley Youth House’s Pride program, which supports LGBTQ youth in finding housing, completing their education, and getting jobs. Jason’s goal was to raise $1000, but the generosity of his family and friends – along with some healthy competition – exceeded that goal by double. Their donations ultimately totaled over $2300! We’re so grateful to Jason for selecting Pride as the beneficiary of his celebration, and know the donations will make a difference in the lives of Pride youth.
