Valley Youth House is thrilled to announce that Mr. Brian Cohen, Vice President and City Manager of Liberty Property Trust, will be honored at our annual Always Bet on Youth Casino Night as the 2018 Individual Achiever!
Brian Cohen is Vice President and City Manager of Liberty Property Trust’s Philadelphia office where he manages a 4.0 million square foot portfolio of urban office, industrial and flex space. Mr. Cohen joined Liberty Property Trust in 2001 as the Director of Market Research where his responsibilities included researching Liberty’s current markets, identifying new markets for expansion and making macro investment strategy recommendations to senior management. In 2003, Mr. Cohen transitioned into Liberty’s acquisitions group where he was involved in acquiring office and industrial properties located in 7 geographic markets.
In his current position at Liberty, Mr. Cohen manages development and oversees leasing and property management of Liberty’s properties in Center City Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Navy Yard. In this position, Mr. Cohen has been involved in some of Philadelphia’s most environmentally responsible and high profile commercial developments including Comcast Center and the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center, One Crescent Drive, the nation’s first developer owned LEED® Platinum building, and Five Crescent Drive, Pennsylvania’s first double LEED Platinum building (Core & Shell and Commercial Interiors). In the fourteen years that Brian has been working at Liberty Property Trust, he has been involved in the acquisition or development of properties containing over 7.5 million square feet in eight different geographic markets, representing approximately $2 Billion in investment.
Mr. Cohen’s current project roster includes several development projects as part of the redevelopment of a significant portion of the former Philadelphia Navy Yard into a mixed-use urban office/research park as well as the Comcast Innovation & Technology Center in Center City Philadelphia.
Mr. Cohen serves as the President of the Philadelphia Chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Organization, is on the Advisory Board of the Community Design Collaborative and is on the Board of Directors of Valley Youth House, Greater Philadelphia.
Prior to joining Liberty Property Trust in 2001, Mr. Cohen was a Senior Analyst at Ernst & Young in the Real Estate Advisory Services Group offering consulting services to corporate, institutional and public clients. Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree in real estate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Narberth, PA with his wife and two children.
