Keep VYH in mind for the 2012 Holiday Season
For most of us, the holiday season is a time of immense joy. Spending time with our families, and sharing good food and cheer makes the holiday season one of the happiest times of the year. The giving of Christmas and Hanukkah gifts is embedded in our culture, and we experience great joy in sharing our bounty by giving gifts and receiving the generosity of family and friends.
However, for many young people and their families, the holidays are more likely to be a time of sorrow than of joy. The children that Valley Youth House serves are often abused, neglected, or homeless. Imagine what the holidays are like…
At Valley Youth House, we try to do all that we can to turn frowns into smiles, and tears into laughter, to bring light where there is dark. But we need your help.
Each year many generous corporations, churches, civic groups, and individuals share the holiday spirit by making generous gifts to our kids and families in a wonderful testimony to the spirit of our community. Please join us to help spread the holiday spirit!
You can “adopt” a child or family, make a gift for a specific aged child, or make a generic gift that we will distribute to a child or family in need. Just contact the Development Office to learn more. Please also view our Holiday Gift Wish List.
From Valley Youth House and the thousands of less fortunate children we serve each year, thank you.
