Help Out!Valley Youth House serves children and families regardless of their ability to pay. Less than 2% of our revenue comes from client fees, with much of our funding from federal, state and local government grants. Unfortunately, these sources of funding are inadequate to meet the needs of all our community’s children and families in need. Generous support from our community allows us to expand our ability to serve local abused, neglected and homeless youth. You can help us offer every child a chance to develop into a happy, healthy, and productive adult:

  • Make a gift now to change a kid’s life or to support a specific project or program. You can donate online or print and mail our donation form.
  • Make a gift of clothing, school supplies, furniture, or household items – see our wish list.
  • Participate in our special events: Annual Golf & Tennis Tournament, Gala, or Sporting Clays Tournament.
  • Brighten a child’s’ holiday through our Holiday Gift Program.
  • Make a legacy gift. Learn more.

  • Bucks County Shelter needs volunteers to spend one-on-one time with our kids, playing games, helping with homework, or just being a friend. Contact Lorrie Reddy at the Shelter.

  • you Can helpBe a Mentor. The children we serve are facing today’s difficult world with many more hurdles to overcome than others their age. Volunteering in the Child Mentor Program provides you the opportunity to offer support, role modeling, tutoring, recreational activities, and life skills development on an outreach basis in the child’s home or community. By volunteering your time to build a supportive relationship with a youth, you can help them reach their full potential and thrive in the community. The program is demanding: Training is required and the children need a commitment of four hours a week, but the rewards are immense. Contact Kara Williams.

  • Student Internships are available for qualified graduate and undergraduate students. Internships are offered in human services, education, recreation, administration, information technology, and public relations. Learn more from our Internship Manual, or contact Elizabeth Allen.

  • Special Events Valley Youth House presents a Golf  Tournament, Tennis Tournament,  VIP Gala Reception and Concert, and a Sporting Clays Invitational each year. These events help Valley Youth House raise an important part of our annual support, but they require the hard work of many volunteers. Join us to be a part of great events, have a good time, and help our kids!
