Veronique N. Valliere, Psy.D. has over 25 years experience in clinical psychology working in individual and group treatment with violent offenders and their victims. Dr. Valliere will present Secrets + Silence ≠ Safety, Strategies for Preventing Child Abuse in a Complex World so participants of the Project Child Annual Conference will understand the techniques offenders use to exploit and/or create vulnerability, to identify the process of trauma bonding, to learn how to address the issues of boundaries with children, to assist in fostering and bolstering a child's sense of value and resilience. The conference will be broken down into three training sessions:
Session I -What Makes A Child Vulnerable
Session II -Teaching Healthy Boundaries
Session III -Understanding & Facilitation Healthy Attachments
5.5 Continuing Education Credit hours will be provided to participants who attend the entire program and complete the evaluation form from PA Board of Social Work Examiners and National Board of Certified Counselors. Partial credits will not be given. Registration is requested by April 8th.
