Mission
The mission of Valley Youth House is to provide prevention and intervention services, counseling, life skills and behavioral health services to abused, neglected, and homeless youth and their families. Our programs foster positive growth enabling at risk youth and their families to become healthy, productive, responsible members of the community.
Vision
The vision of Valley Youth House is to achieve a community of nurturing families which is free of abuse and neglect, and which prepares today’s young people to build tomorrow’s families and communities.
Values
To guide our decisions and behavior, the Valley Youth House Board and Staff live by the following values:
- Children have rights and responsibilities.
- Children are the most precious and vital community resource for our future.
- Our work should serve the best interest of the child and preserve the family, whenever possible.
- Services should be community-based, high quality, provided in a continuity of care context, and provided in a fiscally responsible manner.
- It is better to prevent child and family problem than to treat them.
