President’s Message

Valley Youth House is pleased to announce that Annette Duranso is joining our organization as the President & CEO effective August 12, 2013.  Annette comes to Valley Youth House as only the third President in the agency’s 40-year history.

I feel privileged and honored to lead such an amazing organization. I
am continually impressed with staff dedication, passion and commitment to the VYH mission. I could not ask for a better group of people to lead the charge!

The environment in youth services has changed and will continue to change. “With shrinking government expenditures we are all under pressure to do more with less. I am confident that we will continue the well-deserved reputation for meeting the needs of the community and the youth that we service. With those changes, our organization needs
to continue and grow and adapt in order to meet the needs of the community and the youth we service.  Our tradition is strong and will remain solid in the future as we cultivate and develop more innovative programs to suit the needs of our youth without the dependency of governmental support.”

I am looking forward to meeting as many of the agencies stakeholders as rapidly as I can in the coming months as I gain knowledge to the inner workings of the Valley Youth House. My philosophy of leadership comes from the ideology that every member of the Valley Youth House has the opportunity to make a difference on every child and family that crosses their path.  This is an organization comprised of people trying to make a difference, and I want to maximize the energy, capabilities and passion of each member of the Valley Youth House organization, as a way to ensure the prosperity and potential of each child and family that we support. At the end of the day every member of the organization makes a difference in every person we work with. It is the culture of unity and commitment to mission which is created inside the organization that can help every client serviced by Valley Youth House reach their greatest potential.”
