Adolescents and Families Together (Lehigh Valley AFT)

Opened in 1978, Adolescents and Families Together is an outclient community counseling program for at-risk children and youth and their families.  It is an aftercare service for youth staying at the Shelter, a truancy prevention program for selected school districts in the Lehigh Valley, and a family treatment program for Northampton County Juvenile Probation. Case management and therapeutic intervention services are provided to victims of child sexual abuse and sexually reactive youth through the Victim Intervention Program. AFT provides services on a sliding fee scale that is lower than that of private practitioners and other United Way counseling services.

Lehigh Valley AFT’s office is located at 1615 Northampton Street in Easton, PA 18042.  Contact Christine Hanna at 610-252-2681 or Click here to email Christine.

In partnership with Lehigh and Northampton County child welfare and mental health agencies, staff provide up to 10 hours a week of service to families who have a child at imminent risk of foster placement due to the presence of physical abuse, drug and alcohol abuse, neglect, serious emotional illness, and parent/child conflict.  Counseling, case management, and concrete services are provided to families in their homes for a period of three to twelve months.  Staff is available to families 24 hours a day, seven days a week through an emergency paging system.
