BENEFIT

DESCRIPTION

Medical

Employees have an annual choice of 3 plans (Keystone Health Plan, and 2 Blue Cross Plans).  Employees contribute approximately 25% of the plan cost on a pretax basis for the base plan.  Employee contribution is higher for more expensive plan choices.

Dental

Covers employees and dependents at no employee cost (Guardian)

Life Insurance

Equal to one year of the employee’s salary.  Program Directors, Vice Presidents, the President and employees with 15 years of service receive the benefit equal to two times their annual salary not to exceed $200,000.

Long Term Disability

Pays 60% of employee’s salary till age 65 after 90 day waiting period.

Short Term Disability

Employee may self-purchase variety of AFLAC plans on a pretax basis.

Malpractice/Liability

Insurance

Policy covers all staff, interns, and volunteers at no cost to employees.

Vacation

Accelerated accrual begins with 13 days 1st year, 15 days 2nd year, 17 days 3rd year, 19 days 4th year, 21 days 5th year, and 23 days every year thereafter.

Holiday

6 paid holidays including Christmas, New Years, Memorial day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving

Sick Days

10 days 1st year, 10 days 2nd year, and 15 days 3rd year and every year thereafter which may be accumulated to 60 days.  Sick leave may be used for both the illness of the employee and/or the care of their immediate family or domestic partner.

Personal Days

Up to 6 sick days per year may be converted to personal days

Bereavement

Up to 3 paid days per death in the event of the death of a spouse, a qualifying domestic partner, child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, or sibling of the employee, or a parent child or grandchild of the employee’s spouse or qualifying domestic partner.

Out of Agency Training

Flexible benefit of $900 and 4 paid training days on a recurring 2-year cycle according to employee’s anniversary date.

Internal Training Program

Monthly trainings with CEU’s offered for licensed social workers and counselors.

Professional Conference Training & Presentation

VYH pays maximum of $250 travel, $200 lodging/expenses and provides 2 compensatory days for presentation of educational or research papers at professional conferences.  Approval by President.

401(k)

Upon completing one year of service, employees are eligible to make pre-tax contributions to a personal 401(k) account.  Those 401(k) contributions will be matched dollar for dollar up to the first 4% of the employee’s compensation.
