“The Race to “ERASE” CHILD ABUSE”

5K race for valley youth houseEvery May, the Easton Suburban Kiwanis Club and Kevin Dolan’s dynamic Race Committee present a challenging and scenic 5K race and walk opportunity through beautiful Wind Gap Memorial Park.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Project Child Program of Valley Youth House, which raises awareness of child abuse and what can be done to prevent it.   You CAN help by sponsoring, running, walking and donating to the “Race to Erase Child Abuse.”

Once again, we are encouraging high school, middle school and elementary school faculty, students and parents to get involved by forming pledge teams for the Walk.

Teams registering the most pledges will be given prizes and recognition in the Valley Youth House Newsletter.

PLEASE CONSIDER THAT:

  • 23,000 reports of child abuse were investigated in Pennsylvania
  • Of these 23,000 reports, over 4,000 were investigated and confirmed.
  • Over 30 children actually died as a result of child abuse in recent years.

You can help “erase” child abuse in the Lehigh Valley.

Runners are encouraged to register at the tortoise and hare website
